I go by either "Steven" or "Steve" it really doesn't matter. I'm not a professional screenwriter anymore, so there's no need to suck up to me and send me your latest script. I have zero ambition to work in the entertainment industry. I'm now just a regular guy who knows a bit about storytelling, wants to share that knowledge to inspire new writers, and to share my work with everyone!
2020 GRADE B-C MOVIES
I haven’t been in the movie-watching mood lately. I’m not sure what it is. Maybe it’s because I’ve been busy with work, or obsessed with the bogus impeachment hearings. I swear, watching a grown-ass man, Congressman Adam Schiff, go completely retard on live TV, is really entertaining I mean, the […]
2020 GRADE B-C MOVIES
The original Bad Boys movie premiered in 1995, the year I graduated from High School. It’s been a while since I’ve flipped on this movie, but if my 42-year-old brain can remember correctly, I’m pretty sure I dug the first one. Bad Boys 2, which hit the screens in 2003, […]
2020 GRADE B-C MOVIES
I started watching this movie because I wanted to see what the gay Jesus on Netflix was all about. Well, stupid me – I got the wrong shotw. But, lucky me – it was pretty good. Messiah makes a very good attempt to answer the question, “What if Jesus returned […]
2020 GRADE B-C MOVIES
One thing that you may not know about me, is that I was obsessed with Kung Fu in high school. I loved watching Kung Fu, practicing Kung Fu – I was like the song, “Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting.” That means, I obviously have a bias, and to no surprise, […]
2019 GRADE D-F MOVIES / MAVERICK REVIEWS
Apparently, two Will Smiths are “two” much. With Gemini Man, Ang Lee continues to prove that he is one of the most overrated directors in Hollywood. His hallmark style of cheesy exposition, over-the-top actions scenes, and bland plot, are littered throughout this movie. I’m going to jump straight to […]
2019 GRADE D-F MOVIES / MAVERICK STORYTELLING: Agenda Driven Scripts / STAR WARS
I didn’t rush to see The Rise of Skywalker, even though I’m a die-hard Star Wars fan. Through sources and leaks, I pretty much knew the entire storyline and it wasn’t a film I was too excited to see. I did not enter this movie with an unbiased attitude, I […]
MAVERICK STORYTELLING: Agenda Driven Scripts / STAR WARS
Star Wars has been a favorite story of mine since I was a kid. Throughout elementary school, I was engulfed by its merchandise. My bedsheets to my lunch box were all Star Wars. I even had their action figures. I was in it, knee-deep. My mom bought me storybooks with […]
2019 GRADE A MOVIES / MAVERICK REVIEWS / MAVERICK STORYTELLING: Agenda Driven Scripts
Richard Jewell is the true-life story about an unlikely hero who saved hundreds, possibly thousands of lives, from a bomb that detonated in at Centennial Olympic Park, during the 1997 Olympics in Atlanta, Georgia. The media immediately turned Richard Jewell into a folk hero, but that didn’t last very long. […]
2019 GRADE A MOVIES
If you didn’t see the first Jumanji Reboot, Welcome to the Jungle that was made in 2017, I’d highly recommend watching that movie before this one or else you’ll be lost. Jumanji: The Next Level is a great sequel that doesn’t fall into the trap of duplicating an exact storyline […]
2019 GRADE D-F MOVIES / Enneagram Type Nine "Peacekeeper" / Enneagram: Type Eight "Challenger" / MAVERICK REVIEWS
I don’t watch a lot of Netflix movies. In my opinion, streaming flics are too slow, too boring, and some – downright too cheesy. But when the Irishman made headlines as “One of this year’s best movies,” I had to take look and see what this Netflix film was all […]
