Is it just me, or is there just a plethora of crappy entertainment out there? Companies new to the entertainment industry such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, seem to green light almost anything that plops onto their desk. And they seem to habitually purchase streaming rights to movies that are the opposite of entertaining.
Hollywood is not off the hook either. Disney literally killed the Star Wars franchise by creating a an agenda driven movie, rather than producing one that loyal fans deserved. I can rant a bit more about Hollywood, but I’ll save it for an actual blog.
Then, there are the “professional” movie critics. What a hot mess they are! They get paid to suck. You crack open your newspaper, read their review for a movie and next thing you know, you’re knee deep into spoilers and have no idea whether or not that movie is a “go” or “no go.” Yeah, their reviews “really”
Finding good entertainment can be a chore and I want to help you sift through the trash. I’ll use my knowledge of storytelling, my awesome “crap-detector brain” and I’ll tell you in very short entertaining articles: things to watch, things that are appropriate for your kids, and things that are a waste of your time – ALL WITH NO SPOILERS.
