2020 GRADE B-C MOVIES

THE HUNT: Pretty good!

I remember when I first saw the trailer to this movie, I thought, “Oh great, it’s another one of those, Hunt The Innocent Stories.

And in all honesty, it was – haha.  There’s way too many of these movies.  You have The Purge, The Hunger Games, just to name the few.  Predator, could even be counted as one.

But this flic, had a political twist to it.  Rich-White-Liberals were hunting Conspiracy-Nut-Republicans.

Originally, when this movie first made its appearance as a trailer, Republicans pretty much went nuts because the movie, pretty much, advertised open-season on conservatives.   Consequently, the movie was pulled from the theaters.

I told conservatives to hold off on their criticism because apparently, the antagonist were Democrats.   And you know what?  I was right.  If you’re a Republican, you are more likely to enjoy this movie, than if you are a Democrat.   They poke more fun at Democrats than they do Republicans.   And again, the bad guys are liberals.

The script, was a little thin.  I wish they could have been a bit more clever in their writing, and the 3rd Act.   But I’ll give the writer’s credit.  They pretty much nail the idiosyncrasies of both political parties.

Overall, it was a good movie, so I’ll give it a solid grade.

The movie is available on Amazon Prime, not for free.   It’s not kid-friendly.

I go by either "Steven" or "Steve" it really doesn't matter. I'm not a professional screenwriter anymore, so there's no need to suck up to me and send me your latest script. I have zero ambition to work in the entertainment industry. I'm now just a regular guy who knows a bit about storytelling, wants to share that knowledge to inspire new writers, and to share my work with everyone!
