Men In Black films are kinda strange for me. I think for every movie that I saw of this franchise, at first, I was disappointed. Then, about three years down the line, maybe five, when it popped up on the tube, I didn’t think it was bad.
So following my usual trend, I can tell you that I was disappointed with MIB: International, but maybe five years from now that will change.
My thoughts:
Chris Hemsworth is such an enjoyable actor to watch on screen. Hey just steals the stage when he enters. The reboot of the all-female Ghostbusters, his on-screen comedy just overpowered every gal in that movie. And the same could have been said for MIB: International. Hemsworth overpowered the main star, who was Tessa Thompson.
The story was just average at best. It was enough to hold my attention but it didn’t have that epic effect. To be quite blunt, all of the MIB have more of a TV episodic feel, rather than an epic movie feel.
Would I suggest you see this movie? Maybe on the $6 special. Full price, I’d pass and recommend you’d wait for Netflix or HBO. I wouldn’t buy it either.
