If you didn’t see the first Jumanji Reboot, Welcome to the Jungle that was made in 2017, I’d highly recommend watching that movie before this one or else you’ll be lost. Jumanji: The Next Level is a great sequel that doesn’t fall into the trap of duplicating an exact storyline with a different setting, such as Hangover 2 or 3, or Ghostbusters 2. This movie continues from the first installment with the same characters and has a new storyline, so it’s fresh and enjoyable, much like Zombieland 2 and Back To The Future 2 and 3.
I’d highly recommend it.
Is it for kids? Well, there is some violence in here like the first and some adult jokes that would go over their head. But there is nothing more than the first Jumanji, so if your kids could handle that, this movie would be a walk in the park.
There is one end credit scene that happens a few beats after the last scene fades out, but there is no scene after the credits stop rolling.
This movie is definitely worth a Maverick Review, where I will break down why this flic deserves it’s grade, but I’ll wait till the movie exits stage right.
